This is a relaxed session, at the pace of the baby. They last 1-2 hours and can be done in your home or I can rent a studio. I focus on natural posing, you guys holding and loving on your sweet new little one.

When should I book my Newborn and/or Maternity Session
This is probably my most asked question. I recommend you book both when you hit your second trimester. I typically schedule Maternity for 28-34 weeks but they can absolutely be done before or after as well. When booking a Newborn Session I put your due date on my calendar and I will be planning to do your session in that general time. You let me know once you deliver and we will schedule your Newborn Session typically for when baby is 4-15 days old. I have also done them when baby is older if needed, there is just less of a chance of sleeping poses and newborn outfits fitting at 3+ weeks.
Where is your studio located?
My studio is a sunroom - turned studio, in my historic, 1917 home in Nitro WV.
What kind of Newborn Sessions do you do?
I offer a mixture of lifestyle (family oriented, loosely posed) as well as studio posed (baby in a basket) newborn photography. You are welcome to share with me if you prefer one more over the other and we can focus on that if preferred.
What do I need to bring to my Newborn Session?
The baby. I will have all the outfits, wraps, headbands, props, etc needed for your photos. I also have a small selection of dresses for mama too, which you are welcome to wear for your session, or you can bring something of your own if you'd like.
What if its raining/inclement weather during my session time?
If your session is in the studio it is almost never an issue, unless it were to be a big storm. If your session is outside- A little rain can often make for some amazing photos, however if we are unable to shoot because of the weather, I will reschedule you ASAP.
Do I have to order prints through you?
I give all my clients a Print Release that allows them to print their images through whomever they choose, however I do offer the option to get professional prints through me which can be done easily directly through your online gallery. I also offer Christmas cards, graduation cards, wall art, albums, etc.
What is your travel fee?
Travel expense is $1 per mile one way past 30 miles from Nitro, WV.
